Friday science

I thought this article from Popular Science about the Lodox Stat-scanner, which provides quick low dose x-ray images, was interesting. I wondered about two things after I read about it.

1. The cost of this scanner is from $400,000 to $450,000 each. I wonder, what did it cost the diamond companies?

2. If this technology was developed in the mid 1980's, why did it take the medical field 15 plus years to utilize it?

Harvard University is conducting a moral sense test where they hope to learn more about the way different cultures respond to moral delimmas. It is a quick and confidental ten minute test. If you take the test, you may be surprised by your answers!
